Economy and Business databases can be managed via Cockpit, our command-line tool nctl or by directly using the API. Billing is automated based on the resources used. Nine's automated management ensures the smooth operation of the service.

Economy

Databases in the Economy tier run in a restricted and logically separated tenant in a shared environment that is managed by Nine. This makes them a perfect fit for non-production and low-traffic sites. Due to their fast startup time, they can even be used as part of automated testing pipelines of your applications.

By creating a database in the Economy tier, you will only get a single database, whereas on the Business tier, you will get a dedicated database instance where you can create multiple databases.

Business

The business tier is great to deploy your production workloads or if you want a full database instance with dedicated resources and the flexibility of user and database management.

First

If you require more extensive configuration, or you need a cluster for high-availability or performance requirements, use our First tier. Please reach out to so we can discuss your use case.
