Quotas

Quotas limit how many resources your organization can create. They protect you from accidentally creating a large number of costly resources and help Nine plan capacity.

Quotas apply to all resources that you manage through the API, for example Kubernetes clusters, Deploio applications, and databases. It doesn't matter whether you create a resource in Cockpit, with nctl, or directly through the API.

View Your Quotas​

To see the quotas of your organization, open the quotas overview in Cockpit.

Each quota is either tied to a location or global:

  • A quota for a specific location only counts the resources in that location.
  • A global quota applies to resources that don't belong to a location, such as Deploio applications. It counts all of your resources of that type together.

Request a Quota Increase​

If you can't create a resource because it would exceed a quota, contact Nine support to request an increase. Include the following information:

  • The resource type
  • The location
  • The quota you need
  • Why you need the increase
